Rescue flying boat US-１A

This aircraft is a rescue flying boat that was active in the Maritime Self-Defense Force.

One of my favorite aircraft.

It was developed in 1973 by remodeling the anti-submarine patrol flying boat PS-1 of the Maritime Self-Defense Force.First flight was in 1974.A total of 20 aircraft were built.The horsepower of the engine has been increased since Unit 7.All aircraft retired in 2017.
